How to edit Gears of war 2 experience/rank
Tools needed for this tutorial :
- Hex Workshop
- Hash Block Calculator
- Modio Resigner
- Your XBL Profile
Do not under any circumstances go any further into this tutorial if you have not already gotten your profile on your desktop . This tutorial does not cover any aspect on how to get your profile onto your computer .
- Very important step . In order for us to correctly change our experience on our profile we must be at least a level " 23 " or higher and actually know the number of experience we are at . Do not transfer your profile to your dekstop without doing so . Go on gears of war 2 , play a quick round of horde and jot down the experience you have . You have about 4 seconds to write down that information otherwise you are going to need another round in so you got the exact numbers of that experience . Once all that is done you can exit out of the game and go along with transferring your profile to your dekstop . Make sure you make a backup of your profile and save it somewhere in a folder apart from the one you are Hexing -
Ok now that we have that taken care of , let's have some fun . Start by opening up Hex Workshop , go to file save and locate your xbox live profile .
Once you have your profile opened in Hex Workshop , go to tools/base converter .
A little window should appear . Inside base converter make sure that you're Byte Order is set to " Raw Hex " and that you're Data Type is set to " Unsigned Long " . In the box bellow Decimal , take the numbers you jotted down for you're experience and type them in .
On the left hand side under Hex , Copy the Hex Value that appears .
Now we need to search for that copied Hex Value . Go to edit/find , and a window should pop up . Make sure you're Type is set to " Hex Values " and Direction is set to " Down " . Once those are running clear , copy and paste your Hex Value into the box " Value " and hit ok .
After hitting ok it should take your strait to you're Hex Value . If you weren't able to find your hex value that's probably because you hadn't done what I said in the beginning . Scroll back up and reread about getting the " exact experience numbers " that you were left off with . If this does not apply to you then move on .
Now I'm already level 100 in gears of war 2 so there is no more experience I can add to my profile . The hex value that is shown in the picture above is the hex value for level 100 and I only am going over in this tutorial how to get level 100 only . Start from 00 and type in you're new Hex Value which would be " 00 68 27 4C " . Do not type in the Hex Value shown in the picture above . Once you have put in your new Hex Value , go to file/save and do not create a backup . Close Hex Workshop .
Open up Hash Block Calculator and open your profile . After opening your profile , go to Tools and Calculate Hash Blocks , at the bottom it should say done ! Close out of Hash Block Calculator .
