How to configure a USB storage device as an Xbox 360 memory unit

Step 1: Decide if a USB memory unit will work for you

Step 2: Install the latest software update to your Xbox 360 console
To configure and use a USB flash drive or other USB storage device as a USB memory unit, your Xbox 360 console must have the Spring 2010 or later update. Here's how to install it:To install the update through Xbox LIVE

| 2. | When you see a message asking if you want to update the console software, select Yes, update now. |
| 3. | When you see the new Dashboard, you're done. |

Step 4: Use the new memory unit
You can use your USB memory unit in the same ways as other Xbox 360 storage devices. You can only plug two USB memory units into your Xbox 360 console at once. Q1: What if I don’t want to erase all the data on my USB storage device, what are my options?A1: Use the Customize option to choose the amount of space you would like to use on your device. Choosing this option will retain all of your existing content.
